Hello, tānisi to all our regular and new visitors to our Website. I would also like to give a warm welcome to all returning students, whether it’s elementary, high school, or post-secondary, to the new school year. My name is Charlie Venne and I am originally from the community of Hall Lake. I graduated at Senator Myles Venne School (SMVS) in 1995, and received my Information Technology diploma in 2004 at the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) in Saskatoon. I joined the The Gift of Language and Culture Project in late march of 2005 as a substitute Web Designer and have become a full time designer with the project since.
The Gift of Language and Culture project (GLCP) has been completed and will not be developing any more new resources. We will, however, continue to take orders for resources already developed.
The GLCP had a great run and we were sad to see things end. This website is a showcase of the many talented people that came together to develop Aboriginal language resources for education establishments all around the world. I had a great time working with many great people, and I hope someday the project will be re-established.
